ACEWM held “Entrepreneurial and Intrapreneurial Qualities Development” training

Entrepreneurial and Intrapreneurial Qualities Development training designed for ACEWM graduate students has been organized by the Africa Center of Excellence for Water Management (ACEWM) from August 30 to September 1, 2021.
 
 
 
 

The training was delivered by Dr. Woretaw of A’miro Entrepreneurship Development Services SC. Dr. Woretaw Bezabih is also an author of the book “Entrepreneurship: An engine for sustainable growth, development, prosperity, and good governance”.
The training started by forwarding a brainstorming question to trainers to enlighten them about the topic. In addition, topics such as entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship, the application methodologies, business creation, entrepreneurial and entrepreneurial competencies, goal setting, risk tacking, opportunity seeking and creation, persistence, and systematic planning and monitoring were covered in depth during the three-day training. The training was supported by practical exercises, discussions, and videos as teaching aid.


Finally, the trainees noted the importance of having such training for their future career development. A total of 18 trainees (14 MSc and 4 PhD students) from Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somaliland, eSwatini, and Zambia, were awarded the training certificate from Dr. Feleke Zewge, Director of ACEWM. Dr.Feleke has emphasized the importance of such allied training to modernize and develop the water sector in Africa and the Centre’s future commitment to its continuation
