ACEWM hosted a procurement training for its project staff and partners for five consecutive days from May 16 to 22, 2022.
The training was conducted as part of ACEWM’s Annual Work Plan and mainly focusing on procurement of goods, services and works and contract administration management.
The main objective of this training is to highlight on the basic documents, guidelines, policies and procedures that will ensure that procurement of goods, works and services are used for the intended purpose and proper knowledge of the principles of economy, efficiency, transparency and equal opportunity are obtained. The training also facilitated exchange of knowledge and up to date information on the management of the funds provided under the IDA grant to Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia for the AAU-ACEWM.
ACEWM contracted Life Consult Plc to provide the training and topics of the training include procurement Basics, procedures and Guidelines (PIM, PM), procurement Cycles (for Goods, Services, Works)and issues related to contract administration and records management.
Professionals from the Dean’s Office, Procurement Team, Property Administration Service, Budget and Finance Team of the College of Natural and Computational Sciences and ACEWMs’ Procurement and Finance team took part on the five days training.
