Prof Feleke Zewge singed Consortium agreement with Mobility in Innovative Green Technologies for Climate Change Mitigation and Sustainable Bio economy (INTERACT-Africa).

Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) that include Moi University (Kenya), Mbarara University of Science and Technology (Uganda), Sokoine University of Agriculture (Tanzania), Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia), and Ifa Yangambi University (Democratic Republic of Congo) shall participate in this project, as Mendel University in Brno (Czech Republic) serves as EU technical partner.

The Joining of the Africa Center of Excellence for Water Management’s leader Prof. Feleke Zewge to the coordinators team of the INTERACT-Africa project marks a significant development in the global effort towards addressing climate change and promoting sustainable practices in bio-economy.

The INTERACT-Africa project, focused on Mobility in Innovative Green Technologies for Climate Change Mitigation and Sustainable Bio economy, is a pivotal initiative aimed at fostering collaboration, research, and implementation of green technologies in Africa. By having the ACEWM’s Director on board, the project gains valuable expertise in the field of water conservation, management, and sustainability.

This move underscores the project’s commitment to interdisciplinary cooperation and holistic solutions to pressing environmental challenges. As part of the coordinators team, the ACEWM leader is well-positioned to contribute insights, strategies, and best practices that will enhance the project’s impact and reach.

Mobility in Innovative Green Technologies for Climate Change Mitigation and Sustainable Bio economy (INTERACT-Africa) project’s thematic field is Chemistry, Biology and Information Technology, with emphasis on conversion of organic waste to valuable bio-products for transitioning into environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive economies.
