Every year ACEWM organizes a Ph.D. Student Research Poster Exhibition Day with the aim to offer PhD students the opportunity to communicate their research work to a wider audience. It also serves as a networking platform bringing a broad diversity of scientific and engineering fields that are represented at the Center.
Third-year and above PhD candidates participate in the exhibition and the posters are expected to convey original research ideas and describe research methods and experimental results in detail. Along with the poster, students are expected to submit abstracts and both posters and abstracts should be based on individuals’ PhD works and results.
During the second poster research poster exhibition, a total of 23 PhD candidates exhibited their posters highlighting their PhD research in their distinct disciplines.
The Poster exhibition was presented by PhD candidates of ACEWM to participants of the event. After each candidate presented their poster, a panel of judges reviewed the submissions and graded their presentation based on an evaluation grid.
Based on the evaluation by the members of the jury, the top three posters received the best poster awards. In addition to the certificate of recognition, ACEWM awarded a research visit opportunity to the three selected candidates.
