National capacity assessment on water quality monitoring in ethiopia

The assessment intended to describe the current water quality monitoring capacity and practices at multiple government organizations (federal, regional, urban utilities etc.) mandated by, assesses the capacity and effectiveness of these practices, and identifies needed measures and resources for strengthening operational/regular water quality testing programs.  The goal of evaluating and strengthening monitoring practices is to enable access to safe water for all Ethiopians, thereby protecting human health and welfare. It aims to assess the capacity in water quality monitoring at the federal and regional levels in relations to the SDG targets in Ethiopia, with the aim of assessing current practices, identifying prevailing constraints and identifying investment interventions.
