A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), University of Venda (UNIVEN), The Nelson Mandela African Institute of Technology (NM-AIST) and National School of Engineering Bamako (ENI-BAT), Addis Ababa University (AAU), and Kampala International University.
The MOU is signed for the implementation of NORPART Program 2022-2026 a collaboration under NORPART 21ST of December 2022.
Late in November 2021, The Norwegian Partnership Program for Global Academic Cooperation (NORPART)granted the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), University of Venda (UNIVEN), The Nelson Mandela African Institute of Technology (NM-AIST), and National School of Engineering Bamako (ENI-BAT), Addis Ababa University (AAU), and Kampala International University under a project titled‘North-South Alliance for Inclusive Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (All4WASH)’.
The Project aims to facilitate and strengthen Learning & blended learning to equip students with the transversal skills needed to be active participants in the knowledge economy of water and sanitation considering the SDGs. The main activities of the project include mobility of graduate and/or undergraduate students, mobility of faculty and/or staff, joint research activities and publications, participation in seminars and academic meetings, exchange of academic materials and academic publications, and Special short-term academic programs. These project activities will be implemented in collaboration with partnered universities and the signing of this agreement will facilitate further cooperation in research and education between the partnered universities, and will also formalize their cooperation.
Norwegian Partnership Program for Global Academic Cooperation (NORPART) supports academic partnerships and student mobility between higher education institutions in Norway and selected developing countries.
