Call for Applications – NORSTIP Scholarship 2025

Background

The Norwegian Scholarship and Training Program (NORSTIP) are designed to support students from selected partner countries, including Ethiopia, in their pursuit of higher education at Norwegian universities and colleges. By promoting student mobility, NORSTIP aims to contribute to economic development and welfare in partner countries. The program seeks to empower future leaders who will drive positive change and sustainable development in their home countries.

Scholarship Opportunity

NORSTIP is offering a scholarship for the 2025 academic year to a qualified student from the NORHED II-partner institution, Addis Ababa University (AAU), to pursue a Master’s degree in:

  1. Industrial Engineering
  2. Applied Computer Science
  3. Public Health.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Applicants must not exceed the NORSTIP age limit of 30 years.
  2. Applicants must hold a Bachelor degree in relevant fields such as Chemical engineering, Pubic Health, Computer science.

Application Requirements

  1. Motivation Letter: Applicants must submit a well-crafted motivation letter in English, between 600–1000 words, explaining how the Master’s program at UiT will enhance their ability to contribute to the development of their home country. The letter should be specific, concrete, and avoid generic statements. The use of AI tools to generate or assist in drafting the letter is strongly discouraged and may be subject to verification.
  2. Disclosure Statement: Applicants must disclose any family or close personal relationships with individuals involved in the nomination process. If no such relationships exist, a statement confirming this must be included.
