Water resource management requires information about the entire water cycle including evapotranspiration, rainfall, storage, discharge, water demand for ecosystems, agriculture, energy, and urban development. There are many data gaps as well as a lack of monitoring systems and an inventory of water resources and water demands in Africa. Hence, the need for monitoring and data processing systems including quality control is huge.
