Main Research Activities/Interts
  • My major research interest is to understand and model aquatic food web structure, linkages and functioning, and identification of sources of carbon along the food webs using Ecopath with Ecosim software model and stable isotope geochemistry. I also investigate water quality, physico-chemical, plankton species compositions and biomasses to understand the underlying factors that determine the distribution of plankton species composition and production and their significance in the food web. The ultimate goal of my research is to contribute for efficient and sustainable aquatic resource utilization for food security and development, biodiversity conservation and restoration of aquatic ecosystems.
